Most of these mountains fall on the list of the highest mountains of the world along with Mt. Everest topping the list. Located on the north east region of Nepal Khumbu settlement in the beginning of the challenging and demanding trek is a settlement area for the local Sherpa.

The Buddhist community living there has carried their long and old customs and traditions and has made peace with the holy mountains covering them from all side. Along the way through the trek one can observe the holy Buddhist monasteries and the prayer flags blowing with the cold breeze.
